    Not positive on that but I think they are. Quite peaceful besides when spawning they lock down an area and protect it quite well.

    Beautiful fish! But are they plant friendly? I know they are shown with plants in the background, but I have heard different opinions about this.

    The only time they aren't plant friendly is when they are going to spawn. They will "clean" a leaf to lay their eggs on. It's usually destroyed in the process. But other than that they don't mess with my plants.

    Yes they are, line bred from a Acara species. Prolific breeders to say the least!!!

    Agreed on the breeding!! Always a batch of fry in the tank. I once had 3 spawns going on at the same time. That was a wild time.
