    Default 2019 Aquashella Dallas

    Hey all -

I've been seeing buzz online about aquashella coming to Dallas March of 2019, but haven't seen any info here yet.

It might be an awesome opportunity for the DFWAPC and our local stores to get some publicity / advertising with the event. I'm not sure who the right person would be for that to happen though.

I plan on checking it out. I'm assuming some national vendors will be participating based on the info I've seen from previous years.

Just wanted to toss it out for folks to chew on. I'm on mobile, so maybe someone can add a link if they have time before I get to my home computer.

What can we expect from this as far as freshwater? Fish and supplies for sale?

I'm not entirely sure to be honest. I would think that any displays would be discounted at the end of the show, but that's purely speculation.

Even if it's geared towards newcomer's to the aquarium hobby, it seems like a good opportunity to highlight some local clubs and what can be done with the hobby (regardless of who is on the guest list).

It might be my head cold medication coming through, but if there's continual conversation on how our hobby is shrinking, it seems backwards not to take advantage of an event like this to promote aquaria. I'm reading comments about an event like this as though we're sticking our noses up at an opportunity to get more folks into our clubs, stores, or clients for local breeders to sell to, even when it seems that the majority bof the leg work has been put in to put on the event. Something about gift horses and mouths comes to mind.

Also, apologies on not having a link. I recently found my internet cable to the comm line was cut by a lawn mower.

Edit: just went ahead and logged in from work to insert a link:

    https://www.aquashella.com/

and for clarity, I have no affiliation with this event - just thought it should be something put up on the fishbox to let people know something's coming up.
