Thread: New Planted

    Default New Planted

    Hi,

New to DFW here. I've been to the TX Cichlid As. Auction in April. The tall dude with glasses walking the bags.

I currently have an 80g tank I've just set up a couple of months ago. It is a planted set up with angels, rainbows and some tetras.
The CO2 game was totally new to me and I just now started seeing pearling on the plants. I think I got it figured out now.

Ironically, this TX water would be better suited for African cichlids which I've always kept in some shape or form . SO, in a not so distant feature I may need a new tank.

Looking forward to learn from all of you.

Welcome! And yes, African cichlids do like the water here. I had a 60g with a bunch of them...couldn't get them to not breed. Oh well.

CO2 is a game changer for planted tanks. I started CO2 about a month ago and plant growth is crazy with it.
