    Default Aluminum in tank

Can aluminum be used in a freshwater tank without harming any fish, shrimp or snails?

I have read that it can leach into your tank.

In the shrimp world, we use the stainless steel mesh to grow starter portions of moss on. It would be much easier/cheaper to source aluminum mesh but other shrimpers have reported water parameters changing when aluminum was used.

Thanks for answering, I was pretty sure it would affect everything. I wasn't looking at anything as mundane as aluminum mesh, I was looking at aluminium ant hill art and thought how cool it would look in an aquarium! Lol!
