    Default Free Bass, Crappie, Florida Gar, and Fire Eel

    Today I went on a rescue for DFW Fish Rescue and we picked up several fish that are available for immediate adoption.

    We have:

    a 10-12" florida gar
    a 9" Big mouth bass
    5-6x 5" Black Crappie
    a 4" White Crappie
    a 5" fire eel

    oh just in case none of these fish are to be eaten these were a mans pets who was forced to rehome them
    Plecos are like Pokemon you gotta catch them all!!!!!!!

    I am not so sure it is legal to own some or all of those here in Texas as pets. A license may be required to do so.

    Don't think they should be released back to the wild due to possible parasites...that could harm the wild fish.

    Oh they definitely won't be released back to the wild. I pulled out a tape measure today the gar is 13", the bass is 9", the crappie are 6" and 4" and may be the same type. The fire eel was out today so I got a picture of him, he has a scrape on the top of his nose from hiding in gravel unfortunately while the tank he is in is eel proof but still has gravel however it does have plenty of moss to hide in.
