    Default Albino Endler

One of the females I received at the swap last March seems to be an albino. Is this common?

Is it an albino or a "blond" leucistic? Albinos are white or pinkish with pink eyes. Blond or leucistic females are pale yellow with orange or pink eyes. Males are marked with yellow, white, and orange.

The reason I ask is that my strain of tiger Endler's carries the recessive blond gene, and occasionally produces blond individuals. The blond mutation almost certainly originated in guppies and was transferred to Endler's when the two species were hybridized.

She seems to be white/pinkish, however, she's in a dark tank (too many plants). I'll be moving them soon to another tank, so I'll get a better look at her then. All the other females are silver/grayish, and she really stands out.

Ok, Michael. You were right, she's a blond endler. I also found several other blond fry.
