Thread: Corydoras Aeneus not growing

    Default Corydoras Aeneus not growing

I have a school of 10 corydoras aeneus in a species-only 40g breeder. I've noticed that 9 of them have been growing nicely, while one remains as small as the day it was purchased (they all started the same size).

Any thoughts as to what this might be? I was thinking a parasite or infection, but the lil' guy has held on thus far.

Well, although improbable, it's possible that you have 9 females and one male. (The males are smaller than the females)
    Livebearers, Cories
    Angels, Discus, Roselines, BNs

The lil' guy kicked the bucket last week...upon close examination he was suffering from something (possible a fungus) that ate into his caudal fin and his barbells. Since no one else in his school is suffering from these maladies, I'm assuming these were opportunistic infections that took advantage of a stressed immune-system.

The rest are happy and healthy.
