All of the fish were delivered today to my office and all 23 made it alive into the tank. Overall, very happy with everything. They are a little small, but I enjoy seeing fish grow out and they are near the same size as the fish which I had delivered last weekend. Not the greatest pics as this was taken about half an hour after adding them to the tank, so the colors should start popping soon. If if anyone wants the breeders contact info,...

Well, the planets must be aligning as I have found a breeder for Mpimbwe Frontosa's and are supposed to be delivered tomorrow to my office. Could not find anyone local that had Frontosa's to my liking. After these are acclimated, I shouldn't need to be adding any other fish to the tank and it will be complete! The fish I added last week are eating well and seem to be enjoying the larger tank.

The fish were delivered this morning and I picked them up at my local fedex. Didn’t have any issues with the fish acclimating to my water and they seemed to get aquantied with the tank pretty easy. These guys were exactly what I was looking for and really enjoy the color of the fins. Ran into an issue though when it came to feeding for the first time. When adding fish food, the food could not sink in time before the food would be sucked...

More than likely I will just clean and replace. When i switched out to the new filter, I had not completed a water change in some time, especially cleaning up the gravel. About a week or so after installing the filter, I re-arranged the setup, so all of the gravel was agitated to help get the bio load going for the filters. With the new filters, it is extremely easy to clean these pads, so it should take minimal effort to remove, clean, and...

Filter has finally cycled enough for me to be ready to add fish. Still having issues finding the species of Frontosa's, but Saturday I have 21 Marunguensis Kapampa Cichlids to be delivered. Really looking forward to seeing fish in the tank and with all the equipment running in order, should be a seamless addition.

It has been a long process. Once I have the Frontosa's in the tank, it will be about 6 months with no fish, other than the Petricola Catfish. I have the other reactors in the filter, but I have them running with no media. Unfortunately due to the size of the filter and my backup water source, I really don't have the room to store them. I have a 27 gallon tote under my tank I have filled with water with an air pump attached to it, so I...

Received my Media Reactors this past Friday and with these items, the components are complete. Took me a little bit of time, but was able to install all three of them. Currently, only running one of the reactors with carbon, but the other two I have is for backup. Running these units off my main pump and it has plenty of power to not slow down the flow to the main tank. Shooting for November 10th to purchase some Frontosas with the tank...
