I went in to feed them at 2:30 this afternoon and she was laying. I have a 29 gallon, a cultured sponge filter, and 4 healthy mature tanks that can donate some biological filter. and a plastic shoe box, etc.and I can start the brine hatch as soon as grandchildren go home.

I don't know John's handle on here, you may have to just check periodically? His fish were dying in the sun, I picked some up and found one to be a geo then found him

John, when I said mine eat the babies, not the eggs, I meant my adult angels. they ate every hatched 2 day old baby angel in that tank in 1 night. They are good parents for a while. Alice

My metal bound slate bottom 29 no longer had visible tar when I got it, it had visible silicone on the interior, I think, which I scraped off with a razor blade and did a new bead of clear aquarium silicone at all interior joints. NOW it worked for a year or 2, then I moved the tank and somehow got a minor leak again, so I did this a couple of times a couple of years apart, and it had a small leak problem before I put it in dry dock in the shed...

I bought the geophagus pair, not sure if they are siblings though. They are eating very well. I think Oliphant has swordtails, I was going to get from him but haven't managed to connect

You don't have to have light on the brine eggs 24 hours to get them to hatch?

very nice. and I love the noise damping idea too. the vibrations bother me sometimes. Now on tossing a filter pad rather than rinsing, in saltwater you want to reduce bio filtration to reduce nitrate buildup, as I understand it, but in freshwater you want the bacteria to accumulate. are you just going to rinse those pads for the first couple of months until the bioballs culture gets up to speed?

I'm with Nick on these. One of my bee forums recently changed software and I kinda like the new stuff, although it has taken me some getting used to. They are running: Xenforo. I'm not wild about it, to be honest, but it is probably better than the older version of VBulletin they were running

at least $20 apiece if they are large. I've paid $25 to $40 for an anemone, and I think I paid $80 for my rose bubble anemone years ago. (and no they can't come here I became allergic to anemones although I do still love them. I just admire other peoples now) that being said, I was paying retail. Fishbox price tends to be about half of retail.
