    they are skinny and pink and I will check That shrimp tank has been up about 2 years and I still have shrimp in spite of the snails so probably nothing bad

    I am going to siphon out all the gravel the worms are hiding in and rinse it in hot water really well then put it back. I got most of the worms the other night.

    that's older than some of mine. I donated my DAS 3 tube T8 lighting with the giant transformer to an aquarium customer a couple of years ago. Really with a wood cap over a tank, those old ones work just fine, on top of glass, hidden by wood. (no I don't need it)

    Had this tank going a couple of years, cherry shrimp and assassin snails, and they both thrived. Plants started from cuttings, I rooted in a pot with some compost mix and filter floss. Only pest was duckweed. Been a difficult year, duckweed took over, . did water change tonight, cleaned thin bottom gravel, poured back in tank, tiny skinny pink worms in it, settling as it sank, I scooped it back out and rinsed in warm tap water.     Looks like good options. and your tank sounds like it is a reptile tank. Will your stand hold a different tank or is it somehow an all in one?

    I have a 29 gal (30 inch wide) iron stand and I want to put a pair of 20 high tanks on it, top and bottom.Because the frame is longer than the tank, there won't be iron under one end wall .Do I need a board under each tank?

    I can do what needs done, just lazy. sand, hit with some rust converter, let cure overnight, hit with some black Rustoleum, done. All welds are good Don't have money anyway
