    A friend used to collect and repair these tanks. She disassembled them, removed all the old sealant, and reassembled with black silicone. I don't know what brand she used.

    I've never tried keeping a single male by himself, but I do notice that very small groups of Endler's (like a breeding trio) seem much more timid than larger groups. So my guess is that a single male will be even more timid. You probably already know this, but female Endler's are practically born pregnant, and can store sperm and produce many "litters" from a single mating.
