Isn’t it?! Here is a picture of the day it was donated. I had to replace the crypt and I’m floating Monte Carlo from one of my other tanks in there to see if it’ll survive before I plant it. - - - Updated - - -

I’m using Flourish Excel and a line of products I don’t remember the name of. I have Monte Carlo growing beautifully in several of my tanks, all with no CO2. We have a massive (50lb?) CO2 tank at the rescue, but I don’t know how to run CO2 and I definitely think that tank is too large. I don’t remember the specs on the light. I took it off my Fluval Spec V.

Just a quick picture update on the tank that was donated to DFW Fish Rescue! How much longer do you think I should let it grow before I auction it off? All the Monte Carlo died off, and the plants arent at their best yet (curse you, ammonia!) so Im wondering if I should replace the plants and let it carpet over, or auction it without that. I love the scape so much that Im tempted to enter the auction myself! 😂 - - - Updated - - - For...

Robert’s pretty much covered everything, but I feel a bit obligated to chime in. Basically, Robert pays the rent on our location. He keeps some of his sale and breeding tanks there, and I keep my rescue tanks there. That’s why we have livestock that we sell. These are never rescues. They’re his personal breeding projects. I just help out with the selling as a thank you for his help with the rescue.

I hadn’t planned to bring any, but it wouldn’t be a problem to do so. I’ll be bringing plenty of tanks anyway, so I’m sure we could get a suitable betta setup for you so you have nothing to worry about come winter.

About SilentlyAudible
Biography:
I'm a 20-year-old college student living in Dallas who just really loves fish. I breed guppies and platys and mollies and I'm trying to breed bettas and angelfish and neon tetras. I pick my fish based on color. Freshwater community fish are my favorites. I sell sometimes, but it's really just to get spare cash to go buy more fish with. I will take and house literally any fish, which is how I ended up with 28 guppies, 19 platys, and 21 mollies. No regrets. I'm working in medicine and making minimum wage while paying for college, so I'm not exactly drowning in income right now. I spend a lot of time trying to find affordable ways to pursue this hobby further. If you've ever got unwanted fish, hit me up!
