Plant lady that makes since. I do it this way because I work 3pm and don't get home to a little after midnight. So if the lights are off I cant enjoy them as much. I mess with adjusting it and see if I can come up with something more suitable. oscar-lover I think I may try that for a few days. Stupid question, how will I be able to tell when she is full of eggs? Will she get puffier?

Hello, last week I bought a male and female bosemani rainbow fish. The female is bigger then the male right now (see pic). They are in a 75 gal tank, with two dwarf gourami's, a clown loach, and a catfish that I have not seen since I put him in the tank. I do not have very many plants yet, ordered 30 plants hoping they get here soon. I have a spawn mop in the tank. I have read that the female will lay eggs in the morning, my lights come...

Hello, thanks everybody. As I said earlier I would post a few pics. Here is my 35 gal the 75 gal, more plants are on the way. one of the two dwarf gourami's my rainbow's. The male is probably about an inch long with the female being about 1-1.5 inches long. I hope they will breed soon. and the loach playing dead. I think he was actually nibbling on something.

mkiker started a thread Hello everybody in Introductions
Hello, i'm Mike. A little background. I started a small 20 gal (think it was a 20, I know it was small) tank in 2006 or 07. I had two koi in the tank, I did not know crap about fish. In apr 2008 I moved the TX from NC, the job I got led me into a free 55 gal tank. I was talking about fish to a co-worker and said I needed a bigger tank. He asked if I wanted a 55 I said sure but how much, the answer was free. The following weekend I got the...

+1 on Texas Aquatics It's easy for me to get to straight down 10 from Euless. I have been there twice now (just got back into the hobby). Nice knowledgeable staff. When it's time for more fish (pretty soon) i'll be heading back. Fish gallery I went to about a month ago for some plants. Nice store and the girl I talked to was knowledgeable and nice. Had a plant question that she could not answer but she talked to another guy there and got...

I just bought a 75 a few days ago. However the led light is some cheap topfin one. If you decide to part out the tank, I am interested in the beam works light and timer, as well as the large bosemani rainbow. Please keep this in mind, if it comes to parting it out.

mkiker replied to a thread Building tanks? in Tank Setups
I just watched the 6 video part of him making a acrylic tank (think the video was from 20011). He at least goes into alot of detail on how to do it. I am considering making a 75-90 gallon tank, if I can find acrylic locally for a decent price.
