Welcome to the box! Multi-Tank Syndrome is real and very serious. Unfortunately, there's only one cure... More tanks!

Correct. Planet is a brand of aquariums that are manufactured locally (in Arlington I believe). They are made by a couple of the old designers / builders of the Oceanic line of aquariums that are still in circulation, albeit as used tanks. Oceanic were known for their quality, and Planet seems to have taken over that description it seems.

Definitely! I've spoken to Page at Texas Aquatics about getting a Planet tank http://www.texasaquaticsfish.com/ And also spoken to the owner (I don't think I caught her name, but she's personable and easy-going) as well about getting a Planet http://fish2morow.com/about-us Both places said they'd charge $1 more than manufacturing price.

Man... I wish I could jump in on this. That 130 sounds awesome, but I told my wife I wouldn't do any large tanks until we have a house to put it in. This is tickling my impulse buying thoughts T_T I'm a little bored at work, so in case anyone is wondering or thinking about pooling in together, a proportional breakdown of the cost per tank by tank volume (not factoring the 10 gallon): 40s setup: ~$87.67 100 setup: ~$109.59 130 setup:...

Hey Gypsi, I'm sorry to hear you're feeling down. I hope this info helps point you in the direction you want: I've used this for sand in my 29 gallon with manzanita and slow-growers: https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/black-diamond-medium-blasting-abrasives Along with this for any planted substrate that I would end up using dry fertilizers with (I use EI dosing):...

Is it just a reseal issue or a structural connection issue? There's some tutorials online for resealing tanks and would maybe take a week (including new silicone curing time) and maybe $20 - 40 in materials. I think for the 120 g I resealed I to an evening clean out the old internal silicone, another to put new silicone in, and maybe 4 days to make sure it was super cured. I think I used to tubes of GE Silicone 1 for it as well.

I'm sorry you're exiting the hobby. I hope you come back some day! When you have time, could you add some dimensions for the 100G and 130G?

+1 on the tank! Nice work in a 55... makes it look like there's a lot of depth to the tank even though the dimensions are pretty narrow front to back.

Alright, my turn to bite. What are the price for those black Rams, the German blues, and the double red apisto pairs? Y'all quite literally got in the fish I've been trying to tell myself I don't NEED to have, but really really want. Lol

Welcome to the box! You should check on here for used tanks and supplies. Also in Hurst is Texas Aquatics - they tend to have used tanks in stock as well. Welcome back to the hobby!
