This tank is my favorite, unfortunately its only about 8.5 gallons...

would this make a suitable nano tank?
I want 1 or 2 firefish if possible

what say you?

What would I need for filtration?
Lighting will be all LED

I like vintage old tanks. Yours is quite interesting and unique. It looks fantastic as a planted tank like that. I would worry somewhat about the limited surface area if that were to become a nano reef. If you really feel strongly about doing it, you probably could, but I think I would go outside my OWN comfort zone (being a sump hater, myself) and say that I'd give it a sump to increase the system's size and biofiltration capability. As to the firefish, I would think you could have one or two but they do jump so make sure it stays well covered. Good luck!

you can realy make any size tank a salt tank, the problem would be keeping the parameters , Also like the fish you would like they can grow to 3 inchs in size will they have enough room in there ?

I believe they would, the tank is around 2 feet at its widest point in the middle. I do plan to make a larger reef as well so would get the smallest fish possible and eventually move them to the big tank.

Im going start out with a single goblet and eventually get 1 or 2 fire fish if I think they will do well.
