how long could you keep a tank if you keep it running before you would need to worry about seal failures......just asking

I have read posts where tanks are going for 20+ years with no problems. My luck, I'll wake up to a flood in the morning. Ya just never know.

I think it has a lot to to with if it is up and running for 10 years or if it sits for 2 years and is running for 8.

From what I have heard acrylic is supposed to bond forever and will not leak, you have a better shot at cracking the side before a seam gives.

you don't sound that old Brandy!!!! hehehehe... JK..

I think who ever wrote... if the tank sits empty for 2 years then with water for 10 hit it on the DOT.... with my LIMITED experience with tanks... the longer the Used tank has sit... the more likely I have had to replace at least on seam... in my case, I will go over the rest,,,but the LONGER it sits... the MORE likely hood it drie dand peeled back enough to let air and eventually water through....

keep the seems moist...it will make it lots better int he long run
