First several different types

Monomorphic: Meaning the same or very close to the same. Be it size
and or shape.

Dimorphic: Same species yet different in size shape and or color
making recognition of male and female easy to define.

Paternal mouth brooder: Father carries the eggs and or fry in his mouth.
Maternal mouth brooder: Mother carries the eggs and or fry in her mouth.
Bi-parental brooder: Both mother and father carry the eggs and fry orally.
egg scatterer/ layer: Lays eggs on objects, plants, rocks, what have you.
substrate spawner: Lays eggs in the substrate, sand gravel, and so on.
cave spawner: Lays eggs in caves, usually sheltering the fry there.
parasitic mouthbrooder: Will lay eggs in a different type of fish spawn, and eat the eggs of the original fish spawn. Thus, the original fish, mouth broods the parasitic fry. Typical of some catfish in Malawi.
