Hey guys I am getting a 75 gallon tank some time next week. I am taking suggestions on what to do with this tank. Thinking of moving my parrott and african leaf fish to the new tank, but what to pair with them is the question.

Plus any suggestions on a filter/size, and other items needed. I have never had a tank bigger than a 29.

Thanks for the help.

search craigslist for a good rena, eheim, or fluval for a canister filter.

stock really depends on you. what kind of fish are you looking for?

x2 on the fx5. really, I think a fx5 might be bigger than you need. But it is definitely not too much.

If you want color got African. As far as filtration on a 75 i would go Canister unless you tank is drilled.

Joe Reborn added 1 Minutes and 1 Seconds later...

i guess you could never have Over filtration unless you Blow the fish out of the water.

they do great. THey both are in a tank with 3 bueno aires tetras, 1 rainbow, 2 gold gouroims (i know it is spelled wrong, its late) and a pleco.

I pretty sure I am going to go with a cichlid tank. But not sure which ones to go with. My wife wants something with lots of color, she complains that my other 2 tanks don't have enough color to them.

go with a mixed malawi tank. they are fairly cheap, plentiful, and very colorful. Holey Rock Of Texas has some good prices, as well as David Andrews from the TCA....

does anyone have some examples of these fish so i can get an idea of what they look like. I really don't know them by name yet but I am trying.
