i love rainbows, ive never gotten around to keeping them though. love your plants too. speaking of plants i just upped my wattage from 30 watts to 128 watts. thanks for the recommendations on all the equipment, the plants are greener than ever and the fish show great color and are very healthy...

Now, since you upped the wattage so much, you may get an outbreak of black beard algae...do not worry and do not do anything...the plants will take over the resources soon enough and will grow through the algae. Almost all of my tanks went through this after I increased the light. Once they go through this phase the algae goes away and the plants take over. Occasionally, if you have enough plants the algae never gets a chance to get started.

I love the lights from Lowe's...inexpensive and efficient

ive only seen a few strings of hair algae a couple inches long and a light covering of algae on the rocks, no brush or beard algae yet. i just put the lights on a timer so hopefully none will start or get worse. there is a good amount of plants in there and im hoping to get some more soon. yesterday my tank was filled with bubbles from photosynthesizing :hehe:

Do they get together and school in that tank?

Pictures don't do those fish justice. I saw them at the G2G and the fish just sparkled and glowed in that tank. Nice job, Howard!

They all school together...looks pretty spectacular at times when they are all swimming back and forth
