 Wow! All I can think is how many water changes that works out to be!

It also had me curious about my own total gallonage. . . a mere 300 gallons.

I am so envious! Not fair! I would be kicked to the curb if I had that many tanks! Hey, do you have any extra chocolate long-fins you want to sell? If so, bring some Saturday! Take a photo of the blonde tigers, I want to see what they look like. I have no idea if I have any or not!

The water changes arent that bad with the Python...about 5-6 hours for all if I stay at it. I usually will spread it out over several days. I do about 30-40% every two weeks. The livebearers, esp the baby tanks I do every 7-10 days. The plants and redundant filtration really helps to keep the tanks stable no matter the bioload.

Thanks for the compliments, yall are making me blush

You really need to open a fish/plant store in your house!

I am running 39 tanks, 15 gal to 200 gal. Just less than 1300 gallons total. Keeping BN's, L199 L270 L129 plecos, yellow and cherry shrimp, marbled crays, 3 species of julies, various Malawians, S perticola and multis. Takes about 6-7 hours of maint weekly if I do it weekly.

Good gosh, I can't imagine you guys maintaining those small tanks..

I too have pass the 1000 gallons mark, but I have FAR LESS tanks than most of you guys and I don't even count the 500 gallon yet.

Here's an idea, wouldn't be easier to have let say a 125 divided into 6 compartment versus 6 - 20 gallon tanks ?

Nevertheless, I admire your dedication to keep them all running perfectly. I am too lazy to do water changes, hence I use drip system lol

Sometimes I dread water changes, say when I don't feel good, but mostly I find working on my tanks therapeutic. While I admire your drip system, I'm a worry wort about plumbing (fear things I don't totally understand, I guess :)). I will trade multiple small tanks for RISK of large volume of water on my floor at any one unfortunate incident. roflmao

I hate water-changes and wish I only had big tanks! I am working on turning my 'animal' room into a fish-room and want a 300 gal. next.
