While I've never used this particular product I have been very impressed with absolutely every Fritz product I've ever used. Also... Lol, I just realized who was suggesting it... I might try ACCR over prime next time I need a water conditioner

Oh, well there goes my suggestion. Just out of curiosity, what has you questioning it? I personally remineralize RODI water. So there is always that option. Another benifit that comes with using remineralized RODI water is that you know exactly what's going in your tank and you don't have to worry about the seasonal fluctuations. You just have to monitor your RODI system for when the media has been depleted.

What is your preferred choice of water declorinators that you stand by. I have been using Seachem Prime for as long as I can remember but having some second thoughts about this product. Need to try something new and proven to be effective. Inputs please

I am wanting to set up my 46G bowfront as a planted tank. If you don't mind i ask you a few questions What are you using to filter the water? What kind of substrate are you using? Are you using RO water or just plain tap water? Thanks

It isn't really worth the risk. A huge PITA if you are caught. Some of the LFS around here have been caught, one was shut down over it.

They just picked them up, and they are trying to get them into either a zoo or their educational program but couldn't guarantee anything. Here they are in the 40 gallon tub right before they took them I just feel happy to have been able to keep them for a day they really are neat fish

When you talk to the Park Ranger, ask him if they might consider talking to the Dallas Aquarium. (Not DNA) I know they have taken some fish that should not have been in a privately owned tank, or fish that are just way to big for the owners to keep. They used to take the arowana that got to big for fish keepers. They ended up with so many of them though that they had to stop taking them. Just a thought... I would rather see them at a...

Wow... Impressive find, even if you could not keep them long. The Parks and Wildlife guys don't mess around. In Oklahoma City I knew a guy that owned an LFS and someone brought in a Piranha because they had bought it and could not take care of it. He put it in a big tank, alone, and put a big not for sale sign on it. He had it for about a year before someone from P&W heard about it and showed up. They almost took him to jail and only a...

Today DFW Fish Rescue was contacted by the Sachse Animal Shelter they had 4 large eels dropped off overnight after an arrest and they had no idea what to do with them or how to care for them so I figured they were fire eels or tire track eels but when I went to pick them up I realized they weren't from the spiney eel family and I wasn't sure what they were. I thought they might be freshwater moray eels but after research I figured out they are...

I had no way to contact you. You said your friend picked them up for you. I thought your friend was someone else. Your friend never actually contacted me before the event, which is why I never had a bag ready for him. Again though, we can easily handle this over pm. Do contact the seller first with any issues. I'll do whatever I can to make it right if given the opportunity.

Update on my 125g. Had a plant die off because of 2 big ass water changes that essentially shocked them to death. Plants are making a comeback. Still got some empty spots to fill in. EBA's are looking good as ever.

It’s not about the $$. I was pissed because I didn’t get what I paid for! For those who knew me, they know I’m not a bargainer. As the matter of fact, I really admired and appreciated anybody who breed fish and share among us...And the main reason that I like to buy fish from the local hobbist’s because I wont have to worries about the PH diffences. And more likely the fish are not as stress and healthier then most of the local fish stores, IMO....
