why would you keep monos if you can keep orinos, azuls and kelberi ?? :D

JK, nice to have another interest in cichla keepers here..we're a minority (more like less than 5)..

I have 4 azuls, 7 orinos and a gold kelberi..

nice Stan...I have a friend with a rather prolific breeding pair of monos and was entertaining the idea of going big when I get my hands on some tanks...and since I spent a few years "donating" various african cichlids to his mono pair he'd give me a good deal (and they aren't the farm raised mystery cichla I've seen in pets stores over the years :hehe: ).

I see this is a really old thread but yeah I keep one. I have a few other cichla as well. All of them wild caught, no farmies yet!

Hey guys...I know this is an old thread, but I am looking to get a few Ocellaris and I am not sure what the best venue is to get them. Dallas North has Peacocks right now, but the "thought" they were Ocell's, but not sure. My guess is that they are farmed Mono's. Will they develop the same colors? Where should I look to purchase Ocells?? Thanks

Online vendor. I would say Rapps or Snookn21 would be your best bet

Where can I find Rapps? I have talked with Snookn21 and all he has right now are Mono's. I really want Ocells.
