pineapple betta

During the show this weekend I saw so many bettas that just blew my mind and as crazy at it sounds I found some that both me and my wife liked. A guy that was standing next to the tank said they were pineapple bettas that he had bred. He said he bred the Orange male to a pineapple female and got these two awesome looking guys. I tryed to look for pineapple bettas on-line just to make sure we were talking abou the same one but I had no luck with that. Anyone have any pineapple bettas?? maybe a female you can part with for Kyoto (our orange betta) can have some fun... :leghump: If not I guess he is going to have to settle for Shamu. I have a pineapple betta, she looks like one. I dont want to give her up thou, I been looking for a cool betta to breed with her. I think Wally said she was a plakat with halfmoon in her. She also has the grizzle look on her body. I think she is really pretty.

I wanted to take so many of them home it was not funny. I really loved the yellow and Opaqueones there. The ones I was talking about looked like light purple with a yellow, it was a crazy looking color.. all HM of course my favorite. I mean it if you want to use Kyoto you can. I just want to be able to pick a pair of my choosing of kids.

Michelle, I have some purple marble and then the purple butterflies as well. I bet you would find one that you would like to breed her to.

Luis that would be great, cause I wanted to breed the pineapple next and didnt know what color to choose. So Kyoto sounds perfect. He can breed and then be sent home in a few days :hehe:. Ya'll will have to come out here to bring him, that way you could look at all the bettas.

Hey Micki sounds like a plan!! When will she be ready? We can take him anytime. I had him next to Shamu our orange female and he had a huge nest. I just cleand his home and it's all gone. Maybe he'll be a expert when I try to bred him to Shamu. I'm trying to get my sister to send me some Almond leafs. That stuff grows wild in PR also. Well you say when and we will deliver the STUD! :hehe:

Michelle, ya'll can come out anytime to look at the bettas, I am selling them now and people are coming to look at them. So better come out pretty soon to pick one out.

My pineapple female Betta died last night. :( She seemed to be acting weird like floating somewhat and swimming in circles. All her fins were extended to the max. For 3 days now she has not responded to any meds and could only swim in big circles :confused: I tried everything I could think of. So she passed on sometime in the middle of the night RIP pretty fishy :(

Thanks T :( I know it makes me sad, I sold all the Bettas so I could have room to breed her and house her babies :( and she dies right after I sold most of the Bettas... just plain sad.

Thanks Doro.. no I didnt breed her. I was setting up the tank after I sold the others and I saw she was acting weird. I've never had a Betta to do what she was doing, swimming in big circle.. I didnt know what was wrong with her :(

I hate to hear that!!! I was beging to think you forgot about us. When can we come out? I sill want to check out your fish room. Kyoto was acting wiered last week he was hanging out sideways but as soon as you got next to the tank he would get right side up.. At first I was thinking he was dead but no he is good... DO you have any nice males left i could breed to my unnamed girl. Both of my blue boys are fighting some fin-rot. Any good recomendations for this???

Hey Rod... Ya'll can come to see the fishroom anytime it is good for you, just let me know in advance, so I know when your coming.
I have a few purple and white butterfly males left, some had some fin rot and I couldnt take them to the fish store. I also have some of the marble males and females.

On the fin rot I just put a little fungus clear in their container and make sure you change their water a little more often. It just takes a little while for them to grow them all the way back.

... and it never fails ... bust your butt to get something set up in advance - and it will fall through before you get to even start!
