Yup! We're gunna put together a DFWFishbox calendar. :happydance:
We need your killer fish related pictures. We don't know if it'll be a 12 picture calendar or more (depends on how many pictures we get submitted)- but I for one want a calendar to track water changes, media changes and plant food, etc- so I wanna make a cool wall/desk calendar.
Not sure on the cost, but we'll work on that as the project develops.
Not sure who we'll have print em (suggestions welcome- PM me).
Discuss it, take new pics and send them to me- I'll collect and go from there. These are going to be printed- so adjust your camera settings as needed for large print.

We've had www.snapfish.com (http://www.snapfish.com) do calendars for us the last couple years and we have been really happy with them.

I have a few good pics. Can I share and see if anybody else thinks one is worthy?
Should they be current pics...I have some really good ones from the Fronts and Cichlids we used to have?
don't post the pic- email them. If you post em, people will be tired of them by the time they see the calendar. We'll make a quality calendar- I promise.

I was under the impression that it was to be pictures of FISH...but go for it Joe-L!...do it in a pair of SPEEDOS! ;)
I've been told they need to be at least 1200 dpi. and 12"x12"
I've found a professional photographer that's going to clean them up and get them ready for the calendar.
PLEASE, don't hijack this thread, let's keep it on topic so we don't end up with a 12 page thread that no one will read- please.
PLEASE start emailing me pics ASAP so I can get them to the editor to be getting them ready- he's not going to be happy with me dumping 12 pictures in his lap all at once....and we wouldn't get them by Dec. 31.

DO NOT post your pic here- if it's viewed in public, we won't put it in the calendar, we want the pics to be fresh pics- not the ones we see online all the time.

Perhaps this weekend- let me see what the wife has in store. She was campaigning last weekend to come over and see the pups, but I was busy and she got sick.

Well, this is the reason why I haven't posted pics for the calender. My camera sucks, my skills suck, and everything looks green because of the light I use. Here are the fish I got from Michelle,Blake, David, Gary, and Kirk. Also a photo of my 'common' pleco that I finally realized was a BN. Sorry about the blurred BN photo!
The temperature gauge shown is not accurate. I have a floatie type that is accurate.

haha, no they aren't bad. that OB peacock is beautiful! I think Chris wanted us to send them to his email xtc@dfwfishbox.com. However, fishman said something about his inbox being full. No idea. But the idea is to send them to Chris's email so that if they are used ppl won't be tired of seeing them by the time the calandar comes out. A couple are a little blurry for the calandar I think, but some are nice!

Thank you Lellison! Still, they are not good enough to put in any calendar.
wow- cool! We have a few more additions to the pot- still not enough to get a calendar goin.
Check your settings- I'll create the idea from these and request larger format's if necessary.
If you have issues- please speak up.
Also, take the date setting off your pics we won't want a date on the pics.
