Revelation about breeding corys

I've had adult corys for a couple of years, but they've never bred.

About a month ago I moved all the fish out of one of my tanks except the corys and they laid eggs the next day. The day before yesterday I moved all the fish out of two tanks. Corys laid eggs in both of the tanks yesterday.

I'm no rocket scientist but I'm seeing a pattern!
