Oh, ET! I have never seen an angel like that! It is beautiful! Are you going to try and find a mate?

Not sure what I'm going to do with it yet. I just rehomed it so the guy could get some Discus for his tank.
My wife likes it alot so I'm sure it has found a new home.
Here's a video of him getting picked on by my male angel that is smaller:

Oh! That is a tough little bugger attacking him! It looks like he tries to go for his big old eyes too! Well, I think you need to find a mate and have some babies! Thanks for the photos and video!

Brandy I'll bet if you put a new Angel in your tank.... your puppies might turn rabid! Angels are mean suckers!
ET, you might want to find a couple more angels to put in there to spread out that aggression. Not sure if you remember but, I recently put in a new angel with my old guy and new guy was injured so badly he died. Hmmmmm.... you want old guy? I really doubt he'd be so aggressive with 3 others in a NEW tank. LOL
I hope it all works out.

Yeah the new fish seems to be ruling the roost this morning. I'm kind of proud of my male angel taking on the new one since it's decidedly larger than my other 2. Not much aggression today. Just the new fish telling the others to back off.
Michelle I might be interested in him, I have to sell my 2 wild discus though. I need to reduce the load in my tank or add a lot more plants. Since I'm now beyond pushing what I would consider safe stocking levels.
I want to say the new angel is a female, the wide gap between the pectorals & the anal fin.
I'll see what happens, I'll be redoing this tank soon since I picked up some soilmaster from mpoarch.

Pics and prices of the discus?

$40 for both of them, they are wild caught. One is a heckle the other is just a common brown.
These are older pics of them so they've grown a little since then:

What water parameters are you keeping the Discus in? I'm going to look at some fish today but, we can talk when I get back. If you're interested.

Ok maybe this part should be moved to the For Sale forum. LOL
I'll have to test my water today to give you the exact paramaeters of my water. Michelle I'm definetly interested in old guy when the discus are gone.

They ARE beautiful... but, I'm going to pass to Skipp. As dark as my tank is, I want fish with bolder colors. The 2 of the 3 I've already got are similar to your and I'm thinking more variety is needed.
But, let me know when you're ready for old guy. I really hate to let him go, he's my first fish! But, he's lonely now and needs to be with fish that won't put up with his crap! Listen to me.... "him", I have NO idea of the sex of Old Guy, have just always called him "him".

ah, makes me want to get more angels. I know what it would be though, buying more tanks to separate pairs and keep them from killing each other. Not doing that again. My two babies are enough for me. :) Nice fish though Amon.

Very pretty Angels. I never had much luck with angels for some reason. BTW, if they can be so mean, shouldn't they be called devils??? :confuzeld:

lol yea. I have a pair that fight like crazy ( with no real injuries) and then are cleaning their spawning site together the next. Strange relationship, lol
