I've been absent lately. Had/have a lot goin on...so in light of the drama, I'll catch up on some reading and generate a little discussion...

In the tanks- I have lost nearly all my dwarf apistos out of the 55 tank...just one by one, no signs of fighting or disease, just slowly died...total bummer. Water's good and changes have been regular.

My cockatoids have grown up and are showing color- I'm hoping to sell 3 pair this week. Still have a bazzillion BNs- most are small.

Moved my flag acara's to a 10g tank and they're getting comfortable- had a batch of eggs, but ate em 2 days later.

Momma Krib has had another batch of babies and I counted 25 this morning- excellent!!

Still have my 5 nannacara's- they're coloring up nicely. Hoping to get some baby action there too.

Down side- with Maxwell's surgery coming up- I'm saving pennies, so I'm not spending $$ right now- so the tanks are same ole, same ole.

What's up in your tanks? What have I missed by being at the work thing last week?

Last week I moved a bunch of fish around, found baby Apistos, had a few fish in one tank blow up like balloons and float off to the big toilet in the sky and had a Red Eye attempt the finer art of carpet surfing....with no success.

I think we had 5 fish die and like 50 born in one week, I guess it could be worse.

I did loose an older gourami, but think I've nailed down a large aquraium which if everything goes good, I might setup as a terrarium, but still not 100% sure what to do with it. Still waiting on wife to 100% ok the deal.

Andrew and Joel had a bar night Friday....but did not invite anyone... and Poker night was Saturday everyone was invited to it.... you could have brought margaritas.... would have gone good with everything else.... except Joel's meat on a stick....

Joel called me friday- but it was the other side of the state and I was already riding a bicycle with a beer in my hand- so I had to pass.

But it's alright Joel and I had a great time (I don't think we even thought to invite Skipp due to his BFE status), and Kewlkatdady and Fishh8r were invited but had other plans. I didn't have anyone else's number.

I finally got around and ordered two Fluval 200 watt submersible heaters for my tanks. I only had one old Wally-World type. I also ordered a Texas Holey Rock off Ebay! Thanks to Andrew's help, I now have a kick_as* light fixture dangling over my 55!

We got it in Fredricksberg but I have heard there are a few places in the Metroplex that sell it. We had 2 bottles.... not enough...

Just need to find somewhere closer that sells it.
