does anyone have any experience with them?

i saw some at the fish gallery and i would love to get one. right now they are about 2-3" long and very small. i've been doing some reading and it said their max size is about 9" but can reach up to 14" in the wild. ive been doing alot of research but i want to get some more inputs from someone who has experience with them. wondering how fast they grow.

i have a 25gal im thinking of putting them in there for now and until he grows bigger i will get a bigger tank.

You call hujeta a tank buster ? LOL..

JK..

Hujeta is actually NOT a gar, it's a characins (same family genus as goldfish).

The shape of the nose makes them look like a gar, but they are not.

Hujeta are usually known to only take live feeders, so be prepared.

haha well i didnt know where else to put them.

yea i found out they werent really gars so its a good thing i guess as they will not get huge.

well the ones i saw at fish gallery arent really big enough to eat live feeders yet so im guessing theyre eating worms and smaller things.
