raising worms?

Anyone know anything about raising worms for fish food. I bought some at a bait shop this weekend. Nightcrawlers and red worms. My oscars are still too small for the nightcrawlers but I would like to start raising them so I will always have a supply on hand for when they grow a bit. My grandad used to raise them but these are memories from when I was 4 so I have no idea how he went about it.

Google is your friend. I am considering doing the same thing, but have other things higher on my list right now. How tiny are your Oscars? I feed my smaller cichlids cut-up worms.
