Sorry for the crappy pics. Camera phone.
I went with a more natural look in my tank. What do you think? I need to trim the plastic plants, the are a little long.

Thanks guys, and what is amazing, is it was less than $20. That's including rock, sand, and plants.

Got the rocks froma local rock yard. $6 for 75#.
Fish are 4 angels, 2 silver dollars, 2 kissing gourami, a Siamese algae eater(who has dug out a big hole under middle rocks) and a BN pleco.
Once I get the 135g set up all the angels will be going in there.
I just moved all the fish into a 30g tote, put on my hob filter.
Drained all the water, and scooped out gravel.
Rinsed and put sand in. Put in rocks, that were cleaned in the dishwasher the night before. Put in greenery . Then filled with tap water and decholrinator. Turned heaters on, put on HOB, and ran for an hour.
Transferred fish, never had a spike in ammonia or anything.
Really happy with transformation. And I think so are the fish.

Looks more like a show tank now, which means it looks really beautiful. Funy thing is when my husband had his chiclid tank he went through a natural stage and it ended up like your before picture with the natural stones and the exact same piece of drift wood. Anyways I love the new do.

Looks a lot better. Only thing is the spacing seems to even. Shifting the center stack of rocks left or right would look more natural.

Looks a lot better. Only thing is the spacing seems to even. Shifting the center stack of rocks left or right would look more natural. It is hard to tell in the crappy phone picture, but there are a couple of rocks to break it up under the largest silver dollar. Also, the stupid siamese algae eater I inherited with this talk 2-2 1/2 years ago has covered then most of the way. Actually the silver dollars came with the tank too. Those 3 have survived quite a bit through my learning curve.

:Whoa: Natural Habitat is always better in my personal opinion. I like the "Really rocks" also. Not a Fan of fish swimming around lil' china town....Just my personal opinion
