Have never seen this yet a friend called about Hydras in his freshwater nursery tank. These things don't look to good - any ideas?
He also has a fairly large in ground pond that is just over a year old.
The fact they are in his nursery seems to be a problem as they will or may eat the young from what I read online.
Does he need to attack this - if so how?
Thanks!

Thanks for the replies - will pass this along. We do have a very small blower that might help him in his tank as well.

Hydras can be detrimental to baby shrimp, otherwise they are free fish food, and also come from overfeeding or lots of rotting leaf litter.

If you want to kill them use Aquarisol. It's cheap and works quickly like salt on slugs.
