Anyone have a Texas cichlid? Are they hard to keep, and do they come in other color varieties than the green? I am reading up on them after doing a google search and they look like they could be some neat fish to keep....

Texas cichlids are a great fish to keep. Three varieties blue(small spots), green(medium spots), escondido(large spots). All great fish and very rewarding wet pets. Great solo or easy to breed like convicts. Sexing is easy males no black splotch on the front of the dorsal fin, females have the black splotch on their dorsal fin. Pretty much a fish that is as easy as "just add water."
