okay, so after unloading two huge groups of Brevis on Dane, pawning a few off here and there, and finally throwing my remaining few on Blake; I am rid of Brevis. They are very cool and interesting little fish, but they just breed like rabbits and I am not in a place right now to keep up with that like I should. Anyways, so I am out here at my mom's house hanging out and enjoying my lack of Brevis. I go tonight to turn the lights out on one of the tanks that I had some of them in, when...what the...no it can't be....:looking: :Whoa:Yep. Yes it is. 10-15+ little surviving brevis fry swimming around in the rocks. They're like roaches. They never go away. :ughd:

I won't mind taking 1 off your hands if you are wanting to get rid of them when they are older. I love their personalities.

Sounds like what we went through about a year ago - took a few dalmation mollies (8 to be exact) to help out a friend who had too many and didn't know what to do with them - before long we were pumping 100's of them out and giving them to everyone we knew including fish stores and schools. We feel your pain!

Nilla Wafers? really? ...

Heck yeah. Neller Wafers are the best "bait" food out there.

Tie some Neller Wafers to your umbrella net and you'll never run outta small bait fish (and inverts) while fishing plus you have a snack if you get hungry (of course I mean the ones still left in the box :D).

No! There are survivors! lol. One big enough for me to tell it is female. The other I am not sure. And there could be more...I'm telling you. Like roaches.

You might want to try learning some recipes!!!

Maybe try to raise the pH a point higher to 9.0 (at the max of their range), things *typically* breed when it rains and lowers the pH, thus sending them their prehistoric signals that soon there will be lots of food, lots more space with more water etc. I think that might be your problem?

Put more limestone in the tanks too, you can buy some bricks for $4 at a garden center and shatter them for substrate, they powder easily with a hammer. Or if you know what it looks like go get some off the side of the road over in Dallas or Cedar Hill area and clean it.
