Ok... My home is nothing but horses and cows and western decor and I would love to have a "cowboy" styled fish tank. Any suggestions?
Like I would love to have a Suarro Cactus (without the needles obviously) in there. Maybe a "barn" for the fish to swim in and out of. And stuff like that.
Anyone ever seen something set up like this? Or have any good ideas?

THAT IS FREAKIN AWESOME!!! I am going to be building me a new stand, and with Andrews help I want to build me a canopy for it. And that is exactly what I want it to look like. Well not exactly but you get my drift.
Where did you get it?

Here's the stand I built a while back. Pretty cheap and simple.

I used old fence boards and planed them down. You could simply leave them "weathered" and they'd look very Western.

Yes I love Brandy's tank. Andrew's is nice as well. Makes me want a custom stand. I know someone who has a cabinet shop in Pilot Point...making me think. lol

I plan to use the wood in the old 90 gallon stand to build a stand for the 55 :D

TYVM (thank you very much), I talked to a guy the other day that had the local home improvement store make all the cuts as he bought the wood and simply went home and put all the pieces together (he didn't have a saw). It wouldn't be that hard to build your own stand ;)

sometimes in the sewing section or silk plants section they have plastic cacti that look surprisingly realistic and also the plant section has air plants which are parasitic on limbs of other plants or trees in nature, but look real similar to aloes and cactus plants....also try looking in the miniatures or dollhouse and railroad mini section of hobby lobby for submergible signs, hats, logs, cowboy statues etc
good hunting!

I'm not convinced that it would hurt anything...
I have spraypaint that has chipped off my UGJ's...I see my fish playing with it...
they are all fine...
all the live plants are fine also.
