Anyone make their own food?

I am thinking that I am going to give this a go this weekend.

Recipes or any advice would be helpful.

i also wanted to make my own food but i could come up with any reciepes for this. i wanted to make a flake food.

I do not think I want to make my own flake but a frozen gel does intrigue me.

Besides beefheart....

Looking for something to replace/ cut down the amount of flake/pellet I have to feed.

I have some ideas but looking to see if there are any others out there.
