What is the point of the lunar lights and are they advantageous, or just for asthetics?

They simulate moonlight and it draws your bottom feeders out of their caves. And yeah, it makes it look freakin cool, too. ;)

Here is my big old Melanochromis Cyan peeking out at me with the moonlights on. Sorry for the bad photo, it is a cheap Kodak Easy-share digital camera!

And from what I've heard, the moonlights help keep the fish more calm when your main lights are turned off at bedtime (or whenever you turn off the lights for the evening).

Apparently, they get stressed out when it goes from lights on to complete darkness and the moonlights coming on a few minutes before the main lights go off, so there is still some lights in the tank, will keep the fish healthier (less stress = healthier fish).
