Thanks-all of the fish are from the past. The tems were between 18-23" long when I sold them. Ill try to dig up the photos with the yardstick next to them. They are all from the same tank-that dovii was about 18" in that photo. (Tank is 28" wide). Had to sell him at 22" when I left FL. Most have heard the stories from other sites, just figured I would add a little life to the tank buster section.

The black devil catfish is awesome looking. I am not sure I have ever seen one before. Where did you get it and how big did it get?

Wow-this old thread is getting a bit of life!
The black devil was a mail order fish. Depending on the individual specimen (some are nice for some reason), they are considered one of the most aggressive freshwater fish-attacking broomsticks, etc when you put them in the water. I had that one in a 125 by himself for awhile, but got bored and sold him to FG....where they put him in a 125 with a bunch of fish that became target practice.
They are very pretty when they come out-velvet black with blue eyes and white edging on the tail and dorsal.
I do miss the monsters of the pastespecially the RTC and dovii-probably my favorite tank Ive ever had.
