I forgot how much it takes outta ya to put a tank together! Took furniture polish to the stand and canapy and they are beautiful and shiney. Figured out one light didn't work because of a burned out bulb. Held my breath as hubby and son brought the tank from the dining table to the stand. Exhaled. Centered the tank on the stand. Cleaned the outside glass. Realized the tank was on backwards when I saw the cutouts for the filters to fit over the top were in front. Sweet talked hubby into helping me turn tank around, again while holding breath. Exhaled. Scooped rocks out of two five gallon buckets and spread them across the bottom of the tank. Put decor in tank to decide what I'm keeping and where it's going. Said the heck with it for tonight and will continue tomorrow. :D

Right now, I'm glad that I don't have the monster size tank you do. I'm getting ready to tear down and re-do one of the 55's. I'm guessing it AIN'T gonna be easy. But, I've got a visual in my head... it's gonna be BEAUTIFUL! (If I do say so myself)
Can't wait to see pictures of your new set-up!

After re-arranging the decor 27 times, there's water in the tank!!! for me! Now to wait out the cycling process.... <sigh> However, the gravel and filters should speed things up a bit because I didn't let them dry out.
Still don't know what kind of fishies to put in it. Been thinking about a bunch of little schooling fish. They recently did that to the tank at work and it's pretty cool. Course that tank is three times the size of mine. Too many decisions!!! :special:

I'm thinking about doing this to my 125...
I'm wanting black 3m colorquartz...

S - grade the smaller stuff about $18-19 for 50#s (I would not really recommend, I can not find documentation on it being bad for the fish, but I see it in the poo all the time and I had a kuli that looked like he exploded and it was a bunch of the s grade that came out of him in a big ball)
T - Grade the Black was $21-22 for 50#s.
I think someone said Dane has a bunch of the black stuff he used for sale and it was pretty cheap but I do not know what it is. It looks a little duller then then the color quartz to me but I could be crazy to.
I do not remember what the company is down by Harry Hines, I just know how to get to it, and it is a pain right now due to the construction. I know Chris has been there (I am pretty sure he is who I got the address from a while back) and a couple others maybe they can help out with the name and address.
If you are looking to do it soon maybe I can pick it up for you and meet with your cooler somewhere, but tomorrow would be the only day I could do it this week. I am out of town after that till next week.

You want a picture of the building that sells the 3m Color Quartz? it is not a very nice looking building in a not so pretty part of town. Maybe I will take a picture next time I am down there (probably not any time soon, I have way too much substrate laying around right now)....

I wish...
When I picked her up at the airport lastnight...I was like, "Ummm...I have something to tell you..."
She said," If you bought ANOTHER TANK, I will kick you a$$"
I stayed quite the whole ride home...
When we got home she ran into the house and went straight to the room where i told her it might be...
There wasn't a new tank, but I wanted to test her...I'm not getting another tank. I tried.

Ok... I can't believe my thread got hijacked by you yahoos! http://www.pushupstairs.com/images/emoticon/extra3/cussing.gif
Anyway, tank is looking good (if I say so myself) and I'm flip flopping on doing neons and tetras or livebearers. I want to get some fishies in the next day or two, so I'm looking for suggestions. (HINT!) What y'all think???
Oh, pics will be up when fishies are in the tank. http://www.pushupstairs.com/images/emoticon/extra3/photo.gif

Did you not expect it to be hijacked?? LOL I love the cardinals....since I have no luck with neons!!
AndrewH

Cardinals are pretty classic in a planted tank. I know Misty has a 100 gallon liverbearer tank and it looks great.
I'm a little partial to the tetras myself, but there are so many to choose from it'd be hard to get just a few different types. I plan to put up a ~30 gallon all tetra tank eventually.
Definitely let us see come pics when it's done. How far along is it?

Ah man, hubby and I just got some mollies at the LFS. We decided to go with a livebearer tank, so we got 2 lyretail mollies, 2 bubble mollies, 2 black mollies, 2 red swords, and 2 pineapple swords. Should have little ones in no time. :)
Blake, what kind do you have? I may take some off your hands.
Pics will be up tomorrow. Batteries are charging. http://www.pushupstairs.com/images/emoticon/extra3/img76.gif

We have some Dalmation molly fry that are about 2-3 weeks old right now, some San Antonio Molly fry that are only like a week old, a San Antonio Molly we are pretty sure will drop her fry any day...and another Dalmation Molly that will probably have hers in about a week or so... :D Babies Babies EVERYWHERE...I LOVE 'EM THOUGH!
