Anyone breed pleco's?

I didn't used to like them, cause they creep me out. But I got to looking at some online, and I didnt know there were so many varietys. I bought one one saturday at Petsmart to help keep the tank clean. But some of these are very intersting to look at.

Once again- I'm your huckleberry!!

The dude you got is most likely a common pleco and will probably grow real big- real fast. I've got a bazillion Bristlenose Plecos- but so do a few other folks.

don't we all-:spend:

Get some solid water changing skillz, learn how to test your water (chemical test kit- no dip sticks) and keep a balanced tank before you drop $25 on a single fish...TRUST ME- it'll save a lot of frustration.

Those are very cool pleco's. I aint dropping that kind of money anytime soon though. Trust me....

I've done the chemical testing before, though not extensively. I used to live in an apartment complex, and this guy Chance, used to be big into fish. He helped me keep a 30 gallon back then, and taught me a little bit about the chemistry of an aquarium. So I know a little, I just need to get some more experience and time under my belt. Hence the reason I haven't rushed out and bought discus or anything else yet.

ah yes, I want a zebra one day. I have had several of the fancies, but that is my dream. Probly going to pick up one next week, saving up the money, just don't know what I want yet. But if you are anything like me, once you get into plecos, there is no going back. lol

yea sultans are neat. and by golden, do you mean gold nugget? I had one, an L18,he was beautiful. I want a queen arabesque or a blue phantom, maybe king tiger or another gold nugget. Not sure yet. I think I will just have to see one and fall in love, and then I will get it. haha, you know how it goes sometimes.
