Ok y'all, I need help. Hubby is concerned about the new tank being on hardwood flooring and wants some sort of tray to put the whole stand in before I can set up the tank. Does anybody know where I can get one or it something like this even exists? I've never seen such a thing and can't find anything online. I've got the stand on waterproof laminate padding, but he's not heppy with that. Thanks!

What dimensions do you need?

I haven't measured the stand, but the tank is 72 long and 18 deep. He's wanting a tray to sit the stand inside of that will extend far enough back to be under the HOB filters. I'm thinking that I've never seen a tray that a stand goes INSIDE of and that he's plain crazy and is trying to take me with him! I'm ok putting something inside the stand and behind it,l but putting the stand inside something??? I think he's just a bit paranoid.

My tank is on hardwood floors and I've had plenty of spills, alittle water wont hurt'em and if you clean it up right away then they should be completely fine. Hope you can convince him lol :)

Ok... I finally got out of him what the deal is... I had an airstone on my previous tank that was bumped around by the pacu. The bubbles rising to the top and popping caused some condensation on the canapy, which in turn ran down the outside of the tank and on to the floor. We had just put down wood floors and they swelled a bit. It took a while, but they eventually dried and everything was fine. Plus, the pacu and oscar could splash out a boatload of water at will.
So, no big fishies to move airstones and splash should defer the situation. He'll grumble until convinced, but OH WELL!!! MEN!!!! :aaargh SO:

The previous tank had glass tops. It's just that the air bubbles popping condensated through the opening in the tops on to the canapy and dripped on to the floor. It was a freak thing that could only happen to me. :headscratch:

Well, I'm happy to report that not one drop of water hit the floor when I filled up the tank. And believe me, hubby was supervising! HA!!! :tongue0011:
