sorry the pic is so big but, there was too much detail that ya might miss in a smaller pic.
Here's another, rarely seen, inmate of the 30...
Spike

Yeah, not a great shot of him. But, it does show his spikes quite well. And, he's NEVER out long enough to get a better shot.

Hey Arnold... how often do these guys "shed"? Blue dude has blown his shell twice in the 3 months I've had him.

The everyday mudbug I got for Chris molted 3 times in a couple weeks. I think it has to do with the water conditions and how much they are eating. The pig we got from Chris ate a ton....

Yeah, blue dude just ate a rainbow... that might have brought it on.
Thanks Blake!

He can change colors too. As he molts he will sometimes be more blue than other times. Depending on his diet, he can probably go from a pale, pastel blue to a dark royal blue. And thats if he doesn't start to get some red in him later on in life, making him look purplish...

It's the missing member of The Blue Man Group!
He looks great and that's a beautiful color...one only nature can create.

Indeed, that is a very nice shot.
How big do these guys/gals get?

In the wild they dont get very big, mostly cause we catch them and throw them in a pot of boiling water. But I have seen crawfish that have gotten up to 6 inches before.... course they were a rarity and were preserved in formaldehyde (sp?)
