First time I've been able to get a picture of this guy (of course the back glass is filthy!), he's so shy!

He was sold to me as a Ruby-red but, I'm having a hard time determining a ruby-red WHAT?

LMAO!! Well he's beautiful either way!!
Also those black dots should fade away as he gets bigger.

Um...the ruby red is a a peacock. But this one looks like a Aulonocara jacobfreibergi "Eureka"

Um...the ruby red is a a peacock. But this one looks like a Aulonocara jacobfreibergi "Eureka" not a ruby red. I could be wrong but the coloration of the back fin makes me think its a Jake Eureka. Here a link to the ruby red http://cichlidforum.com/profiles/species.php?id=1311
and a link to the jake Eureka

either way, both beautiful fish.
The Jewel will always have the black spots. Just part of their coloration. It will never go away.
Heres a link to the jewel:

That is an Eureka red. What kind of female is that first pic? How big is she? I got an awesome golden hybrid male for her.

Never have and I don't have a clue. But, I'm reasonably bright (for a chick)...
I'm sure you could walk me through it.

It isn't rocket science, trust me or I couldn't do it. Heck even xtc shipped me a fish, so if he can:p:, I am sure you can. So how much for the fish?

I don't mind making a trip up there if it worth the gas, but if it isn't worth the gas, that is a long trip, especially when it only cost about 12 bucks to ship it here.

If that is the case, I can meet him just about anywhere, as long as it is where I meet xtc last time, can't get another ticket for 90 days.

Hell, I wouldn't make the trip for this fish!
Howsa bout one of those numerous albino males in trade?
If that's way outta line let me know. I know nothing about fish "value". LOL
I think shipping will be the best route... I'll bet my lil buddies at JFP would help me package her up (I LOVE those guys).
