Hello Everybody,

New member and just though I introduce myself. Long time aquarist, with a love for wild bettas. I even used to have site called www.wildbetta.com (http://www.wildbetta.com), but it ain't up and running anymore. I would love to get intouch with anybody that have any interest in wild bettas, especially the mouthbrooders. I also like chicklids, killies and livebearers. Right now I have one 10G planted tank with a male and female crowntail betta, trying to breed'em.
One 10G planted tank with guppy and molly babies.
One 10G heavely planted tank with two golden killies(haven't had much luck with hatching the eggs, only one baby today)
One 29G tank with misc chicklids.

Anyway, just want to wish everybody a happy day.

Welcome! Glad you found us! I would love to see photos of your fish and could you also explain to me what a wild betta is vs. the kind you see in stores? I used to have a Betta for a couple of years and then he died on me. I loved that silly little fish!

Welcome. I have been thinking a beta would be cool and half thought about killies just have not done either. (actually I killed a beta a couple of years ago he made it about a month....then I killed him, not sure what I did but when I changed the water he did not like it)

Welcome! I'm sure you'll enjoy your time here!

A little story about "chicklids"...I used to have this friend that swore up and down that the correct way to say it was "sheeklids" and she spelled it chiclids. I never had proof for her when the conversation came up and she wouldn't settle for me writing it.
We were in Petsmart one time and I thought the employee that was helping her was gonna bust a seam when she asked if they had and "Sheeklids or Beetas", lol. She walked out so red faced and refused to ever go back because they were "just wrong".
I laughed at her all the way back to work!
