You'll have to excuse me if this is posted in the wrong area. I am new to this type of message system, as I generall always use yahoo groups. However I was referred to this forum through a advertisement someone posted on Craigslist.

I have generally always kept a 10 gallon tank with a few fancy goldfish in it. However I have recently inherited a 55 gallon long tank. I have researched different kinds of fish and I have chosen to pursue keeping Discus fish.

I was wondering if anyone else here keeps Discus and could advise any tips or hints as to successfully getting a new Discus tank started.

(if this should be posted elsewhere, please advise.)

Thanks
Chris

arnold and catherine are the people to talk. there also guy name mike who owns fish city here in plano it's at spring creek and ave k in the plano square mall. he breeds discus and has a whole lot of tank fillled with dish he could also ansswer your questions.

they like soft water, and there water needs to be clean and clear. you will also need to keep them in pairs and they can get pricey 30 bucks for some 2 inchers all the way to 200 bucks for a pair of adults.
