I think both my females are turning into males.....Im probably wrong but is it possible that were both sub males and now they are coloring up? one is showing blue in his/her cheeks the other doesn't but red is showing up on the edges of the tail. Ohh yeah the are Inkas!! help guys!

I've heard of that happening with some marine fish, some kind of wrasse I think. No idea on yours though. Maybe one is just developmentally challenged.

Gorgeous fish! As far as gender-changing ... I doubt it, but I can so relate to not being able to definitely tell what sex they are! I have been through soooo many GBRs - GBRs that showed all signs of being male ... but then laying eggs!

PS: apistos do not change sexes they may color up like females if there is a really domanat male in the tank to keep from getting its behind kicked.

they are the ones I got from you, one has stayed female colored but the other has colors showing like I have never seen, alot darker kinda blackish and blue shimmers showing in the cheeks and it looks like a black stripe uner the eyes.

That Sounds like she is in domanant I want to spawn coloration all the black gets really pronounced when in this mode.
