Here's apparently another tank buster that I have never seen before. Known as a sailfin marbled Catfish or saddle catfish. Certainly is interesting to look at!

its actually a bad photo. There are some photos that make these guys look awesome. Walmart sells a 5 gallon kit with these guys in them

I have seen one of these and it is gorgeous. It was about 2'! Very graceful and cool to watch.

SS, I saw it in a tank at a restaurant in Huntington Beach, CA. They had a listing of the fish posted on the tank and recall seeing that the cat was a sailfin cat. Even commented that on a windy day, it just had to stick it's fin out of the water and sail away.

Here is one not so big-only about a foot long. Had him 5-6 years ago. Very cool fish. If anyone wants one-a friend of mine in Seattle has one thats about 14" that he could ship.

I just saw pics of a buddies last night and thought "That's a cool fish wonder if I can keep one...." started reading about them and it is a No... but very cool fish.

can't before sure but if I remember right dallas world aquarium has some in there 200,000 aquarium. I might be thinking of a different catfish.

These top out at 2'-that would be food at the DWA for the Arapaima. There is one on aquabid that Im selling for a friend in Portland. Its about a foot and looks very nice.

Very nice cat there Grant. I had one that was about 14" until he got killed by a convict.......
