haha. Did you know there are like 3 acceptable forms of the plural for octopus. Octopusus, Octopodes, and Octopi. I like Octopi. Octopusus just sounds awkward, even though they say it is the most commonly used.

I found this word in a Microsoft study book...
Windowful
Yes, that's the way they spelled it and it was used a number of times. Google, Wiki, Urban Dictionary... Nothing. No definition. Even Microsoft's site returns no results! roflmao

So if I order a Big Mac I can expect an anchovy laiden burger with a single fry?!? Hmmm.........English is more complex than I realized.................:p:
The plural form of fry is wigglers. That is what I always call them little wigglers.

Did someone spell fry, fries?
Haiven
05-28-2010, 09:06 AM
yep. It was a reference to African fries, which made me think of plantains.

I love fried plantains, smashed and then fried again are the best!
Haiven
05-28-2010, 09:09 AM
I didn't like them for a long time -- kept expecting them to taste like bananas. When I got used to the fact that they don't taste like bananas I started liking them.
Believe it or not, bananas are my HATE food. So if plantains don't taste like bananas, perhaps I would like them. . . .

I see they serve Ting there too. I love that stuff, between that and the red stripe I left Jamaica with a hole in my stomach big enough to match the one in my head!

The one that gets me is when people say/type "shrimps".
When I hear/see that term Bubba Gump's menu starts replaying in my mind, then I start craving chocolate, then I feel the urge to run, then I realize that I'm hungry for "Shrimp" no matter how many are in the box...
