Female red cheek ate her babies. I swear i have to have the worst luck with parents raising fry. They are either too passive or too aggressive.:confuzeld:

Dang that sucks. What would you do in that situation? Move the parents and how to raise the fry on your own?

I tried to do that, but i guess i was too late. She had them in a shell, and i think she just picked them off one by one. I dont know what im going to do in the future. I cant stick my hand in the tank without getting bit by both parents.

LOL, that sucks. Maybe do a fish trap? I dunno that's a tuff one.

I may just have to let them fend for themselves, but i hate to do that these fish are pretty hard to come by. I dont know how long they would last with 2 Calvus, 2 Comps,2 Brichardi, 2 Juli's, and 16 Frontosa. If they do make it they will be the toughest little sob's in my tank.

My melagris will eat the fry when they are stressed or not being fed real regular. I seperated them into their own tank and wham - baby factory. Might be worth a try to put them in thier own tank and see what happens. Made all the differnce for my shellies.
