Actually, it's all Andrew's fault - he told me where everyone was hiding out these days. I'm very glad to be here and 'see' everyone again. :D
Anyways, for those of you who don't know me, I have so far been limited in my number of tanks by the fact that I'm in a second floor 1 bedroom apartment, which I still manage to cram 100 gallons of fish, 4 spoiled felines, and 2 adult humans into. I originally got the fish for the cats, but it's developed into quite the habit. Every month I promise myself that I won't get anything new for the fish tanks, and every month I fail. I'm currently keeping livebearers (guppies, mollies, and platies) and angels (koi, marble, blue blusher, gold pearlscale), plus a motley cleanup crew. My fiance is into plants in a big way, so our aquariums are slowly progressing towards the "densely planted" end of the spectrum.
If anyone else out there keeps livebearers, I'd love to recreate our livebearer fry swap, which worked out nicely. Basically, it means I get to trade you 15 million of my babies for 10 of yours, thus keeping my tanks from becoming overcrowded. :p: Seriously, though, it's nice to get some well-cared-for fish without having to dig too deep into your Hawaii fund, and a great way to try out varieties that you may not have seen before.
