Well it was nice to find a website like this that is centered around our area. A little about me, my wife and I just had our first baby girl on 9-20-07, but she dosent seem to want to leave the hospital thats how i found you all. I have in all around 40 fish tanks and i add to my breeding collection as often as possible. I love th outdoors and hunting, but I love my animals as well. I am not only a fish person but have a few snakes and some turtles as well. Hopefully i will get to know a few of you all and do some tradin, givin and or selling.

Welcome and congratulations! I am in awe at your 40 tanks, plus your reptiles! I love reptiles! I found a baby copperhead on my back porch the other night and my husband got mad because all I did was scoot him off the porch! Would love to see some photos of some of the tanks. What types of fish do you have?

Yes, welcome and congrats on the little one :baby2:

I too would be interested in hearing what all you have. Sounds like a good herd with 40 tanks .

I would love to keep reptiles, but wifey says "NOT IN MY HOUSE YOU'RE NOT", so I have to settle with all the wild lizards in our backyard and occasional grass snake :D

Well what a response, I love this. The baby is ok for the most part she just does not want to go home so she has played some smurf action on us. ( turning pale/blue) But she has knocked that off for the most part today. we are hoping for a Sat arrival at home only a week and a half after the fact. Well when i started with a few tanks i had apple snails. Not highly recomended for trying to breed with an incubator for the eggs. ended up with more than anyone ever needed. Then moved to guppies, hit the thousand club and found that it was too easy to breed but could hardly give them away never the less make enough to pay for the food. Moved on to zebra convicts and firemouths. that is working out very well and I have intentions to pick up on a few more breeds with the addition of some tanks. As far as the reptiles go I have two Red Tail Boas at around 5 ft or so, hard to take a tape measure to them. Two box turtles, snapper, RES, vine snakes, cupple dogs, cat and now a baby. Its a full house.

40 sounds bad but it consists of
3-55g
1-100g
1-75g
36-10g
5-20g
some 30g and 40g
cant have enough if anyone has a good deal let me know.

I had a red-tailed boa when I was young and dumb. I was an idiot and let a mouse stay over in its' tank for several days. The mouse killed my boa! I used to collect garter snakes as a child, much to my mother's dismay.
I have caught 5-6 ft. rat snakes out here, just to scare the sh*t out of my husband! I didn't kill the newly born copper-head because it wasn't hurting anything, and they are good at killing field mice and rats. Besides that, since we have had a drought in the past couple of years before this one, we have hardly seen any terrapins, toads, or snakes. Glad your daughter is doing better! These things happen on a regular basis, but are quite scary to the new mom and dad! I am sure you know this, but just in case, be sure and scrub your hands, etc. good after handling the reps so you do not infect your daughter with salmonella.

Welcome to the "box" and welcome to your little one! Seems we've had a population explosion around here all the sudden so you'll fit right in. :)

Sounds like we need to take a field trip to Scuba6567's house after everything settles back down to see all the animals.

My sister has a 4' boa that I love to hold, and a 3' iguana that lives in a fake tree in her living room. Kinna weird to see it crawl down and go to the kitchen for a drink/food, then head back to the tree.

And I assume from your screen name you scuba dive?

Yeah, it'll save on not having to buy tickets to the zoo. :hehe:
Glad to hear your daughter is doing well. We just had our first child on the 12th! So their not to far apart & we had a little girl to. I'm totally loving being a new dad too:happydance: Actually the 20th was supposed our daughters due date too! They had to induce early though. It would seem that Christmas was good to alot of folks last year. LOL :baby2:

Well a feild trip sounds great to me, You all will have to give me a few weeks to get settled in and I am moving all my stuff into the garage and making a bigger room for more stuff. But when the time comes I will sure invite all over for a visit and possibly a cookout or something.

Me too!!! I've always wanted to go scuba diving, but don't have the time for the training/cert nor the money for the equipment (renting would help, but still no time) :(. One of these days we'll have to get a "newbie" scuba group together and all go through the training together.

Welcome!!!

Yeah, %%^&$^&%*!@# Fort Worth Zoo took out their Aquarium few years back. They still have the reptiles, but I hardly go anymore.

 about the Chrisitmas comment....

Yeah, definitely no rush. Those of us with kiddos completely understand (as I'm sure everyone else does too) and you need to focus on that little angel instead of worrying about hosting!
